AUSTRALIA TRANSIT VISA

South Africans can transit through Australia only if they are eligible to do so.

This is what the Australian Home Affairs Government states:-

  • Passengers must enter by air
  • Hold confirmed onward booking to leave Australia  to travel to a 3rd country on the same or connecting flight within 8 hours of arrival in Australia
  • Hold necessary documentation to enter the country of destination and not need to leave the airport transit lounge except to continue their journey.

So basically this means:-

  • If you will have to go through immigration clearance and check-in, to their onward flight
  • Including manage their baggage

THEY WILL REQUIRE A TRANSIT VISA
